Open Call for the 13th Rosa Barba International Landscape Prize
We are pleased to announce the open call for the 13th edition of the Rosa Barba International Landscape Prize, a prestigious recognition in the field of landscape architecture.
With the support of the Bank of Sabadell Foundation, the prize honours outstanding and innovative landscape projects worldwide. A selection of 7 to 11 finalists will be invited as guest lecturers at the 13th Barcelona International Landscape Biennial Symposium.
Following their presentations, an international jury will select the winning project, which will be awarded the Rosa Barba Prize, with an endowment of 15,000 euros.

We are seeking built or planned landscape architecture projects from around the world, completed between 2019 and 2024.
Offices and professionals are invited to submit up to five projects, spanning all types of landscape architecture—ranging from landscape planning to design. Help us showcase the best in contemporary landscape architecture!
The projects selected by the International Jury will be published in the catalogue of the 13th Biennial, showcased in the Rosa Barba Prize exhibition by Fundació Banc Sabadell, and featured online under the Biennial PAISATECA tag. The International Jury will announce the finalists by the end of May. If selected, you could be among the guest lecturers presenting their projects at the Barcelona International Biennial of Landscape Architecture, taking place from November 19 to November 21, 2025. The Rosa Barba Finalists will present their projects on November 19 and 20, followed by the final jury deliberation. The awards ceremony will take place on November 21, 2025, where the winner and special mentions will be announced.
An exceptional panel of leading voices in landscape architecture will form the International Jury for the 13th Barcelona International Biennial of Landscape Architecture.
Comprising renowned practitioners, scholars, and visionaries from around the world, our jury brings expertise, critical insight, and a deep commitment to excellence in the field. Their collective knowledge will guide the selection of outstanding projects that shape contemporary landscape architecture.
This Prize is part of the Barcelona International Landscape Biennale, which in its 13th edition presents the theme « Intelligence… natural?! », reflecting the innovative and transformative approach with which landscape architecture tackles the current challenges of landscape and territory.
With a rigorous evaluation process, the jury will identify the most innovative and impactful built projects submitted, culminating in the selection of finalists and the prestigious Rosa Barba Prize winner. We are honoured to have such a distinguished group of professionals shaping the future of landscape architecture through this biennial event.
